Pura Vida, jewelry for a great cause!

These Pura Vida bracelets are amazing! I picked them because they all meant something to me and portions went to a good cause, including supporting artists! Hello, wonderful people! 

Welcome on this honestly probably very awkward start with me. As you can probably see from my archive I haven't been on here in a very long time and when I was it wasn't for very long and the things I was posting weren't all that interesting. But I am back and I am me. I went through a lot since high school. But I'm sure everyone says that. In many ways it is true everyone goes through their own things. 

So here are a few things about me:

• I am a Virgo through and through
• I am very honest, but I worry about hurting peoples feelings.
• I am a daddy's girl! My best friend is a dude.
• I love hiking as much as I love shopping! 
• I have five brothers, my brother Paul has been on Dialysis for the last few years. Honestly, I'm terrified he won't be here long enough to see all the things he should. He just seems to get sicker. 
• I have pretty bad anxiety, my depression has gotten much better in the last few years. But my anxiety is so bad I actually started having seizures in the last two years. 
• I have two adorably fantastic cats!
• I review books and a completely different website dedicated to it!

After spending years running away from being the only girl my mother and father have. Over the last few years I have FINALLY accepted it and finally learned how to do my makeup. I absolutely love to wear dresses, being 5'8" (Thank you daddy!) heels are kind of difficult because I always ended up dating shorter guys with a height complex, but I digress. I am a girl and as much as I hate stupidly painful periods I have accepted the girly aspects of me. That doesn't mean I don't still play video games. That doesn't mean I suddenly forgot how to drive my manual car. I still love those hikes. I hiked the Appalachian trail with my best friend for my birthday about two years ago in Tennessee. I live in Wisconsin, so the year before my best friend took me on a wine tour in Door County. He started me on my love of wine. He has opened my eyes to so many amazing things! I hope to be able to be half as amazing of a friend as he is! In a world where people feel it is there job to destroy others I want to be apart of the world where people everyone is being built right on up!

Review: First thing I want to say is this... I am extremely sensitive to smells, I always have been. I absolutely love the smell of this product! Some of my more favorite smells are kind of earthy or manly smells. I can handle floral, spice and fruit smells for only a short time. You know when you find a smell of something and you want it everywhere? That is kind of how I feel about this moisturizer.
On another note though I could instantly see how well this moisturized my face. It is almost like it woke my face up! I love it. My face is soft. I cannot wait to see how it feels and works with my makeup routine. Update: Over 12 hours later and my face still feels fresh and amazing,

Review: I absolutely love this nail polish!! I was a little afraid when I got it in my Ipsy bag. The nail polish doesn't dry too quickly, it looks really good.  I have had some where they dry before I can even get a second swipe in. This is amazing. It shines so beautifully. I can't wait to see how long it goes with out chipping. I am beyond satisfied with this product.

Review: I absolutely love this lipstick. It keeps my lips hydrated. The color stayed for a long time. There is a trick I want to try to see if I can get it to stay even longer! I would recommend this lipstick to anyone!

Review: Ipsy monthly subscription

Hello lovelies,

This was my first month with Ipsy. I was more than a little scared while waiting to see what I would be given.
All wonderful products in which I received. I am however a very picky person. Going into this I knew how much I hate blue as eye makup. Mind you blue is my favorite color. I was never able to actually wear it in makeup. I just so happened to receive a blue gel eye liner from Color Pop. The eye liner didn't really go on well or easy. I actually broke it trying to get it in my eye. I was determined to not let it be a waste and still got it on my lids. Lets just say I know that for my eyes and skin the gel liner is not for me. Next we go to the OFRA Rendezvous blush, although it was a bit dark for my tatse I absolutely loved the blush. I wish I had gotten it in full size rather than the eyeliner. In this bag I also got Elizabeth motts show me your glitter highlighter/eye shadow, I also loved this product. It isn't sticky and uncomfortable in any way. It has a beautiful shimmer to it and it doesn't make me feel like I am wearing something I shouldn't be. I got Meg nail polish. It was a cool little two pack. They were pretty basic colors that I would generally never buy for myself. I am very excited to give them a shot though. Last and not least in this months bag I received Theorie Marula Oil, I have never really used many serums in my hair previously. I do love that you can put it in your hair wet or dry. I have found the best results when putting it in my hair when it is already dry. I am personally not a fan of the bag itself either. Kind of ugly.

All in all for this bag I would say there were products I enjoyed. It was unfortunate that the only full size product is one that I will more than likely never use again.

Review: I have to be honest I have only tried a few different foundations but this is by far one of my favorite ones. The problem is I don't like having to go through their process to get the look. I want to be able to just put on my foundation and go from there. If I don't follow the steps my face tends to not be as soft, not covered as well and I seem to break out more. I want to try out a cream foundation to see if it would cover my acne marks a bit better. But for a liquid foundation this is definitely up there for me.

My first Influenster Vox Box

Today I received my first Vox Box in the mail. I started Influenster a little over a month ago. I love it.

Review: Katherine Heigl is by far is one of my all time favorite actresses ever. She funny, witty and always believable. Shes always kick ass so when I found out she was going to play one of my all time favorite characters I couldn't help but see it. I absolutely love the people the cast. Except for big blue deffinatley didnt see it like that. Oh I love Katherines hair brown. Wow I love this movie! They need to make the next 17 movies now.

Review: I love this movie. It's surprisingly funny. I'm not a big Nickolas Sparks fan or Miley Cyrus but I do like this movie. More like love this movie. Almost makes me want to read a Nicholas Sparks book... Then I remember The Notebook and change my mind. But this is a must see movie. It has such a deep heartfelt story.

Review: I've been told by all my friend's who have went and saw this movie that it is absolutley amazing. So I went to see for myself! I am so glad I did. If you love Iron Man this movies for you. If you love Thor, Captian America and The Hulk this movies you! Heck this movie is amazing! It's for everyone! To many explination points the movies amazing, I loved it.

The Hunger Games: Movie vs. Book

There was suprisingly a large difference between the book and the movie or so I felt there was. The getting of the mockingjay pin varied alot. The acting of Peeta was slightly altered in beginning. I went and saw the movie before I read the book. Boy am I glad I did it that way. The movie was amazing! The book is kind of discusting. Sad to say I don't know if I will even try to get past chapter 4. Normally in movies when they cut information it is not important. Some of the things cut from this movie actually were important. So to wrap this up in the book I made it to part 2 and realized the movie is way better so why finish a book I don't like. My suggestion go see the movie!

But if you read the book then you  DON'T want to see the movie.

Review: Jersey shore

Review: I watched the #JERZATHON. I just wanna say that I hated Jersey Shore before I watched this marathon. Now i'm kind of obsessed. Pauly D is funny, cute but he's still kind of immature. I would be almost amazed to see that boy married. Mike The situation Is only a situation in his head. He's arrogant, egotistical, and annoying. He's fake and he is always trying to take Vinny's girls. In my opinion it seems like he hates his life... Or something. Angelina or whatever her name was showed up for two seasons but never stayed for a full season. She started shit and was just generally annoying. Sammi was a good person, in a way she reminded me of myself. She does have trust problems and she starts shit but she doesn't really notice. So I kind of love her. Snooki is absolutley adorable, she's crazy and I hope she enjoys her baby and husband when that happens. Jenni is crazy, she's sexy and she loves to have a good time. She is my favorite girl on the Jersey shore. Ronni is short tempered. Then there is Vinny oh my damn, he is my favorite guy on this show, he's sexy when he where's his glasses, he is nice and sincere, he's the least fake person on there. I love Vinny. I laughed at the names because they all end with an ie i and a y. ahaha wow. Oh then Deena came I like her she's adorable. Not really sure what else to say about her. These guys are crazy full of drama but you know what it's also a family full of love. I'm sad that I only started to fall in love with these guys after the show was almost over. Love you Vinny! Oh and Jenni! <3

Review: Dream Liquid Mousse

I was introduced to this liquid foundation by my friend Alison, I always had to her do my make up because I didn't know how. Silly what 18 year old doesn't know how to do her own make up right? Well, Now I know. This foundation goes on and stay on my face better then any foundation I have ever used. It doesn't flake like Avon's does. It make's my skin look soft and almost flawless. I love it and don't know what I would do without it.
Again, Highly recommended.  

Review: Amber Romance

I got Amber Romance for Christmas from my aunt. I love the smell of this so much. I would recommend it because it's a very captivating. Every time I wore it someone has always complimented me on it. I'm very difficult to shop for so when I got this I was skeptical. But I LOVE it more then any perfume/body mist I have ever had, and I've been through a few of them.
Highly Recommended.

Mascara: VS vs. Avon

I put two different mascara's to the test. Victoria Secret's Voluptuous Volume Mascara Vs. Avon, Mark's Make it big.

Victoria Secret's Voluptuous Volume Mascara:
I love the Victoria Secret Mascara because it makes my eyes pop more. My eye lashes look longer and it makes my dark make up look just a bit darker. It's $12 but it's worth it! I love VS's Make up.

Avon, Mark's Make it big:
I dislike Avon's Mark Mascara because it clumps to much, doesn't fill in as much and   is surprisingly not very dark.
